Fun in Milwaukee

This past weekend we went to Milwaukee to visit our friends Anya (adopted at the same time as Emma), Cai and Sally. Erik had to go out of town so we were unable to see him, we missed you. We went to go see a fun children's folk group and the kids had a good time. Then we went back to their house to have some lunch and water fun. It is so nice to see our good friends we just wished that they were closer so we could see them more often.

Evan and Emma eating breakfast in the car on the way to Milwaukee. Yum!
Fox and Branch. Evan really enjoyed watching them play with all of the different instruments. He was the only one to get up a dance a little. The girls were playing shy. I still think that they had a fun time.
Look at the cool water toy. Evan played with this for hours.

Bubble fun! Cai, Anya and Emma.

Two beautiful Hunan girls. I just love their smiles. These girls play so nicely together.

The last day of school, Finally!!!

This is the picture from today with Emma and Evan on the last day of school wearing the same clothes as the first day of school pictured below. I can't get over the difference. I knew that Evan grew over 3" but Emma has really grown and filled out too. See for yourselves.

This picture will really help since you can compare her to her backpack and how much it covers her. Yeah Emma, necxt year onto 2nd grade. Have a great summer!

Emma, the team gymnast

Yesterday was Emma's first day of level four gymnastics. She was soooooo excited! This is a before and after photo. The before picture is outside at the team only door, Mom's are allowed much to Emma's dismay. She will be asigned a locker and everything. The after picture is with her friends and fellow team mates Sara and Ashleigh. They couldn't stand still so in three attempts this was the clearest picture. Amazing since they had just had a three hour practice. It will be intersting to see how she is after her second practice today. Way to go Emma.

Mikayla's Pool Birthday Party

Girl's having fun. This is a few of the girls from Emma's adoption travel group. Mikayla is the second from the left. The others from the the left are Mia, Robin's friend Allison, Robin, Emma, Kate and her sister Julia. A good time was had by all.Watch out Allison, here they come.
Our little water bug.

Sliding, diving and swimming. What a wonderful day! The weather had finally gotten a bit nicer and we were able to go swimming. Hopefully it will finally stick around. It has been a long cool spring.

A day at the zoo in May

This was one of the best trips to the zoo I can remember since bringing Evan home. Evan was actually interested in seeing the animals. I am so glad the his awareness has increased so much. It was a joy to watch. Emma has always liked the zoo so she is definately a girl after her mother and fathers heart. We have loved going to zoos before the kids.

Below, see how big and how cute the kids have gotten. :) Evan is not so happy on the carousel praying mantis. It took to almost the end for a smile.

What a lazy baby polar bear. Jody, this is the baby we saw when we went to the zoo. He is so much bigger now.Getting ready to enter the land of the dinosaurs. If I could only read Evan's mind. Does he think that they are real?
The amazingly huge T-rex.

Just to give you a little perspective. These dinosaurs roared and moved a little. They were so very big and the kids loved seeing them. They were not afraid.

Daddy and his babies at the end of an awsome day! I am so glad we were able to spend this day together. Doug has been working six days a week since I lost my job to help so it just made the day extra special.

Easter Cuties

The kids had so much fun on Easter. Here are a few pictures.
