Another visit to Milwaukee
The other day we visited our friends the DiBlasi's who live outside Milwaukee. Abbie was adopted at the same time as Emma. The girls had so much fun together and as always played very well. We went to a new special needs park by their house. What a great park!

A Tuesday Morning wake-up
Smore fun.
On a rainy evening, we decided to use the gas stove to make smores.
Sad but it's as close to camping as we are going to get besides using the Webber grill. As you will see by the pictures only one of the kids liked eating the smores and Daddy had to eat one of theirs. Yummy!
Just plain fun.

Level 4 Gymnastics swim party
It was only 70 degrees, pathetic for the middle of July but I don't think that the girls noticed. They all had a ball and enjoyed getting to know eachother. There is not a lot of time for that during the practice. The mom's got to know eachother too.
The biggest splash competition. The older siblings had this in the bag as the little girls didn't have the weight to really compete. They had great fun though.
Even Evan had a great time. He has never met a swimming pool that he didn't like.
Later that night, Evan had a friend who wanted to sleep with him. Bernie brought his bone along which made Mom nervous but they slept together before Daddy got home from work.

Evan's second sleep study
A week and a half ago we went for a second sleep study for Evan. I was amazed at how well he did with all the probes and electrodes being hooked up while he was awake. The only thing that the nurse waited to do was the tubes that went in his nose. He slept from 7:15 pm until 2am. They let me sleep until 4am (they didn't know that this was my only morning to sleep in that whole week. I got one extra hour of sleep)

The results show that Evan was arroused from sleep some 70 times an hour. A mild issue. The doctor wants us to give Evan rapid acting melatonin spray to go to sleep and slow release melatonin to keep him from waking up before dawn. I bet she could have told us that without spending thousands of dollars but either way I sure hope it helps.

Emma is SEVEN
This post is a week late. But last Friday, Emma and her friend Sara celebrated her birthday and had a great time. They started at McDonald's for lunch, then went to Target for matching flip-flops and finished at the nail salon for manicures and pedicures. Just what every seven year old would want. Exactly what Emma wanted.
The ladies who lunch. The mom's sat at a different table. Emma and Sara wanted to see the TV.

The girls loved sitting in a big chair. They were too small to take advantage of the massager but I don't know that they knew about that.
Making sure that their nails were dry. They were so cute that I think they had everyone in the place smiling.

Emma and Sara are the best of friends. Asking for sleepovers at every turn. I am so glad that Emma has a good friend that she enjoys being with. They are also gymnastic buddies.

The favorite gift....a Nintendo DS.
The favorite new game for the DS.

Here are a few pictures from Emma's party the previous Sunday. This included family, friends and good food.
Just to prove that Evan was there. He spent most of his time in the pool or jumpy house. Here he is just hanging around.
