Emma, the team gymnast

Yesterday was Emma's first day of level four gymnastics. She was soooooo excited! This is a before and after photo. The before picture is outside at the team only door, Mom's are allowed much to Emma's dismay. She will be asigned a locker and everything. The after picture is with her friends and fellow team mates Sara and Ashleigh. They couldn't stand still so in three attempts this was the clearest picture. Amazing since they had just had a three hour practice. It will be intersting to see how she is after her second practice today. Way to go Emma.

Mikayla's Pool Birthday Party

Girl's having fun. This is a few of the girls from Emma's adoption travel group. Mikayla is the second from the left. The others from the the left are Mia, Robin's friend Allison, Robin, Emma, Kate and her sister Julia. A good time was had by all.Watch out Allison, here they come.
Our little water bug.

Sliding, diving and swimming. What a wonderful day! The weather had finally gotten a bit nicer and we were able to go swimming. Hopefully it will finally stick around. It has been a long cool spring.

A day at the zoo in May

This was one of the best trips to the zoo I can remember since bringing Evan home. Evan was actually interested in seeing the animals. I am so glad the his awareness has increased so much. It was a joy to watch. Emma has always liked the zoo so she is definately a girl after her mother and fathers heart. We have loved going to zoos before the kids.

Below, see how big and how cute the kids have gotten. :) Evan is not so happy on the carousel praying mantis. It took to almost the end for a smile.

What a lazy baby polar bear. Jody, this is the baby we saw when we went to the zoo. He is so much bigger now.Getting ready to enter the land of the dinosaurs. If I could only read Evan's mind. Does he think that they are real?
The amazingly huge T-rex.

Just to give you a little perspective. These dinosaurs roared and moved a little. They were so very big and the kids loved seeing them. They were not afraid.

Daddy and his babies at the end of an awsome day! I am so glad we were able to spend this day together. Doug has been working six days a week since I lost my job to help so it just made the day extra special.

Easter Cuties

The kids had so much fun on Easter. Here are a few pictures.

Praise the Lord!!!

We are crying tears of joy. For the first time ever Evan was able to blow the pinwheel to move. I can't wait to try bubbles in the morning. I just had to share such a big step that we have been working on for soooooooo long.

Congratulations Emma!

Congratulations Emma! Emma has been invited to join the St. Charles Gymnastics Team, level 4. We had our meeting this afternoon to see all that is involved to see if we are up to the task. I will be selling a kidney, (he he) to keep her flip-flopping. It is a very expensive sport but Emma loves it and I will do everything I can to keep her going.

On a bummer note, Emma got hurt at Tuesdays practice and will have to skip for two weeks to let her knee heal. She hyperextended it so it is just swollen. We have had two sets of x-rays and two doctors appointments to confirm no other damage. I don't know what we will do with ourselves since we won't be spending hours there this week. :)

It has been such a long time since I posted. I will try to catch up with some great pictures. I am truly having a difficult time getting used to these new working hours. They are killer.

More later, Sue
